NIH funding for VBRC ended in Dec. 2009: ViPR is now funded by NIH to provide bioinformatics support for NIAID Category A – C Priority viral pathogens. For more info, contact the director of ViPR (Richard.Scheuermann at UTSouthwestern.edu) or the BRC Program Officer (Andrei Gabrielian; gabr at niaid.nih.gov).
This site (Virology.ca, the Canadian half of the VBRC), is now focusing on large DNA viruses:
- Poxviruses
- African Swine Fever Viruses
- Iridoviruses
- Baculoviruses
To access the databases and tools, users must now have an account on Virology.ca. Don't panic! It's free and simple, just go to the Login menu (top right) and create a new account if you need one.
